2010 Camp J.A.M.
group photo from 2010 Camp JAMCamp J.A.M. (Juvenile Arthritis & Me) had to be rescheduled due to bad weather in Gulf Shores on the original weekend. But it took place later in the summer at the same location, and as always, everyone had a great time. This was our tenth annual Camp J.A.M. — an event that is free to the families and designed to be both fun and educational.

At right you can see a group photo from this year's Camp. Below are more photos from 2010 Camp J.A.M. — just click on the smaller "thumbnail" photo to see a larger version.

Our 2011 Camp has already been scheduled for June 10-12, 2011, at the Tall Timbers Conference Center in Woodworth, La. If you'd like to volunteer or sponsor our 2011 Camp, please contact the AAOLA at (225) 761-8230 or by e-mail. Thank you!

Camp J.A.M. (Juvenile Arthritis & Me)

Our annual family retreat for children with juvenile arthritis and their parents and siblings is one of our most important programs. It gives the families a chance to relax and have fun together with the burden of the child's chronic illness at least slightly lifted. The kids with arthritis get to meet and interact with other children who share their unusual condition, and at the same time, they get to play and have fun in a safe environment overseen by arthritis experts.

Below are a few of the photos taken at the 2007 event. Click on any of the small thumbnails below to see the full-sized photo.

Camp J.A.M.

The 2006 edition of Camp J.A.M. was a great time for all of those who attended. Parents, siblings, and most importantly — kids with juvenile arthritis — gathered at the Solomon Episcopal Retreat Center in Robert, La., for a summer camp-style retreat. Click on any of the links below to see photos of the fun and fellowship these kids and families enjoyed thanks to the volunteers and donations to the Arthritis Association of Louisiana.

You can make sure Camp J.A.M. takes place next year and every year to come. Please check out some ways you can help.
